Good Overall Stay, with a few Areas for Improvement

This was my second stay at Avani Ratchada, and once again, I appreciated the recognition of my Titanium status and the upgrade to an Executive Room. The hotel’s location is excellent. The MRT (Phra Ram 9 station) is right at its doorstep, with connections to the Airport Rail Link (via Phetchaburi station) and the BTS (via Sukhumvit station). That said, most tourists will probably find staying along a BTS line more convenient. The huge Central Rama 9 shopping mall, just across the road, also offers a staggering range of dining and shopping options. For me, the main draws of Avani Ratchada are its gym (AvaniFit), swimming pool, onsen and in-house massage facilities. My room was spotlessly clean, well lit and well maintained. Just two areas for improvement: firstly, the design of the international power sockets - they are positioned so close together that using one renders the other unusable (see picture). The white plug you see belongs to the room’s modem, which I obviously couldn’t unplug. And secondly, I wasn’t too impressed with the breakfast buffet during my previous stay, so I decided to skip it this time. That said, I think it’s about time Minor Hotels considered extending complimentary breakfast to Titanium members, in line with most other brands within the GHA DISCOVERY programme. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would certainly consider Avani Ratchada again on future visits.
