THE OLD

Head to Romerberg, the original town square with architecture right out of a fairy tale and cafes to chill at and soak up the vibes. Come December, it comes to life with twinkly lights and a world-famous Christmas market.

The nearby Zeil street is where the locals go to do their shopping – and it’s just down the road from our hotel. Shop till you’re just about ready to drop, then zip into the food market to refuel.

Just south of the river, Sachsenhausen may look quaint, but it’s also home to some of the city’s wildest nightlife for locals. Fo something a little more mellow, head to one of its family-run cider taverns for some traditional apfelwein.
