Frankfurt is the crossroads of all that is uber cool, and with such a great location, it’s all yours to explore with ease, from medieval churches to shiny skyscrapers, Gothic art to 1980s techno, and everything in between.
Head to Romerberg, the original town square with architecture right out of a fairy tale and cafes to chill at and soak up the vibes. Come December, it comes to life with twinkly lights and a world-famous Christmas market.
Downtown Innenstadt is our very own “Mainhattan”, home to the German Stock Exchange, big banks and more. The skyline shines with skyscrapers, including the 200 m Main Tower, which you can go up to take in the view.
Frankfurt is a city of museums – dozens in fact, mainly in the so-called “Museumsufer” down by the river. Go classic at the Stadel, or underground at the MOMEM, the city’s new hub of all things techno.
Just south of the river, Sachsenhausen may look quaint, but it’s also home to some of the city’s wildest nightlife. For something a little more mellow, head to one of its family-run cider taverns for some traditional apfelwein.
Sachsenhausen is also great for hearty German food. Check out Schweizerstrasse and Elisabethenstrasse where you can go wild on all kinds of wurst, Frankfurt’s very own rippchen cutlet, creamy kranz cake and more.
Get ready to move with an interactive group tour through Frankfurt’s techno scene, past to present. Led by an industry insider, and with a wireless headset piping in the beats, you’ll hit all the city’s hottest spots, including the techno MOMEM museum, dancing along the way like nobody’s watching.
Unleash the artist inside with a freeform painting workshop accompanied by live DJ beats. An instructor will be there to guide you, but the artistic expression is all yours. Fuel your inspiration with artsy drinks and bites provided.
