Avani Rio Novo Venice Hotel hosts Mosaic Visions. Curated by Cris Contini Contemporary and open to the public until 25 October 2026, the exhibition offers guests and visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in a truly cinematic narrative, transforming image into matter and matter into experience through a form of “living” art, where design and hospitality intertwine to become a genuine lifestyle.

Emanuele Sari, a master of contemporary mosaic art, reinterprets this ancient technique through a bold and modern visual language, blending craftsmanship with pop culture.

Artworks

By combining techniques and materials from the Venetian tradition – such as glass from local furnaces – with a striking aesthetic, the artist draws inspiration from contemporary cinematic and pop imagery, celebrating icons such as Monica Bellucci, Brigitte Bardot, Frida Kahlo, Joker, and Deadpool.

Figures suspended between reality and fiction become part of a modern visual pantheon, where the sacred and the profane merge.
