Tribe Talks with Krissie
In this Tribe Talks, we're catching up with Krissie, a Thai-British actress and the creative force behind The Bottom Club YouTube channel. As a proud Water Baby, Krissie recently experienced the tranquil shores of Avani+ Samui Resort, where she discovered the perfect blend of adventure and serenity.

As part of the Water Baby tribe, what specific activity or feature at Avani+ Samui Resort stood out to you and why?
Because the property was right next to the beach, they offered all sorts of water activities you can think of. From kayaking to island hopping. But what really stood out to me was the morning yoga.
The view was absolutely breathtaking! In the morning, it was low tide, so the whole bay was accessible. The hotel set up the yoga mattresses in the middle of the bay. We were surrounded by such beautiful nature and clear air. I was in a state of serenity.

What was the highlight of your stay at Avani+ Samui Resort? How did the hotel's unique offerings enhance your tribe experience?
I absolutely loved that we had the whole bay to ourselves. It was so private and quiet which was the ultimate opposite of other parts in Samui. Suitable for anyone who is looking for a getaway from city madness and chaos, a family get together, and also perfect for a romantic holiday with your beau.
As a Water Baby, I always look for activities that are water related, or even just to jump into the water as soon as I wake up. Staying at the Avani+ Samui Resort is just the perfect fit, because my villa is just 10 steps away from the water. I can also hear the waves at night, which is so calming.

Do you have a memorable photo from your trip that you'd like to share? What's the story behind it, and how does it reflect your experience as a Water Baby?
It was during my morning yoga down by the bay in front of my villa. I'm usually not into yoga or any slow activities, but seeing the view and how calm it seemed, I just couldn't resist. I felt the sense of calmness which I haven't experienced in quite a while because of traveling so much. This was taken by the instructor. I also tried doing a headstand for the first time and succeeded!

What tips or recommendations would you give to fellow Water Baby tribe members planning a stay at Avani+ Samui Resort? What should they definitely not miss?
I would say to not miss the island hopping. But I would recommend to go on a week day or to avoid international holidays as the islands could be packed. But if you went on a normal day like I did, you would be able to have the whole island to yourselves. Especially Koh Rap, a must visit. Also, you wouldn't want to miss the hotel's morning yoga. An absolute great start of the day filled with calmness and wonderful energy!
